Supporting Early Years with creative learning

Hasbro aims to support Early Years by helping to engage young children, throughout the whole Foundation Stage, towards the early learning goals as prescribed for the years before primary.woman-and-child-playing

Now in its second year, the free service combines the EYFS framework, Play-Doh values and hands-on learning with compelling creative educational packs, for nursery staff. These make a positive addition to learning environments for early years. Play is at the centre of children’s early learning. Play helps children to develop language skills, alongside their emotional and creativity, social and intellectual skills.

Each educational resource is linked to one of the four main subject pillars – Literacy, Numeracy, Expressive Arts & Design and Exploring the World Around Us.

A nursery teacher, 60 years ago, inspired the Play-Doh we know today. She mentioned to Mr Joe McVicker that young children usually found modelling clay too hard to manipulate. When he learned that children needed more squish, he delivered his compound to that teacher’s school in Cincinnati and the rest is Play-Doh history.

We plan exciting resources, deliver relevant e-newsletters and run competitions with Play-Doh prizes. All available if you register free today.

We hope you will join the Play-Doh fun!
